In Fall 2017, thousands of industry professionals from around the world will gather for the ISWA World Congress, WASTECON® held from September 25th to 27th 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Babcock & Wilcox Vølund is among the participants in conjunction with representatives from its parent company, Babcock and Wilcox.

Main focus

ISWA World Congress & WASTECON® 2017 provides opportunities to see what’s new in collection, processing, marketing and management of compost, recyclables and solid waste.

This year’s presentations from B&W Vølund will focus on climate change, circular economy, closing of dumpsites, resource management, smart technologies and energy recovery.

More specifically, B&W Vølund’s advanced methods to improve the overall waste-to-energy plant efficiency and energy recovery will be presented – along with the topic "Modern waste-to-energy is an integrated part of a circular economy".

At the conference, you can meet Ole Hedegaard Madsen, Director of Technology at B&W Vølund and Kimberly Clark, Vice President of Strategic Markets at Babcock & Wilcox as well as Larry Hiner, Manager of Product Lines at B&W Global Power Division.

About Wastecon

The World Congress is the largest annual event organized by the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA). This year, the two major network organizations in the solid waste industry ISWA and SWANA (Solid Waste Association of North America) have joined forces in organizing the event.
