New contract for the Gärstad Verket, SwedenOn 18 February 2005 we signed a contract with Tekniska Verken in Linköping for two new waste-to-energy boilers for Gärstadverket. The boilers will replace the two boilers at the existing Gärstad Verket and they are replaced in order to meet the more stringent environmental requirements of the future. The supply includes two 12 t/h lines for saturated steam at 20 bar with an output of 30 MW each. The grate will be of the same type as delivered to Framtidens Gärstad, i.e. a water-cooled Vølund grate. The boilers will have vertical convection heating surfaces and the steam will be superheated externally by the flue gas from a gas turbine before it is led to the existing turbine. The investment will maintain adequate capacity at Gärstad Verket for many years to come. |
