Early hand-over of the Fasan w-t-e plant

On 10 January 2006 – 3 weeks ahead of original schedule – we handed over the waste-to-energy plant Fasan in Næstved, Denmark.

The completion of the plant has been very successful. During the trial run, which lasted for 3 months, we were allowed to have 5 stops; however, we managed with only 1 stop.

The new furnace line has a capacity of 8 t/h; it is expected to combust 64,000 tons a year and is to supply steam to an existing turbine. The grate is the renowned BS combustion grate and the plant can operate with very variable calorific values.
