Successful start for customer seminar in Sweden

Babcock & Wilcox Vølund held its first customer seminar (ERFA meeting) in Sweden this May, and it was a great success.

The two objectives of the seminar were: introducing our latest solutions for plant maintenance, refurbishments and servicing as well as sharing knowledge. The seminar also included a guided tour to the W-t-E plant Gärstad.

Operational and maintenance managers from 40 biomass and W-t-E plants in Sweden were invited to the seminar which took place in beautiful surroundings at Tekniska Verken in Linköping.

During the years we have gained a sound experience with similar seminars in Denmark. Sweden is a prosperous market, and time has been right to implement the success in Sweden.

• Operational analyses and design tools – CFD
• Examples of refurbishments
• Inconel cladding
• Service agreements

Mr Thomas Herzog from CheMin gave a presentation on formation and development of ash-salt deposits (fouling) regarding the chemical environment.
