Large potential for our technology in Norway"Babcock & Wilcox Vølund have already installed three waste fired combined heat and power plants in Norway. With a generally explosive demand for eco friendly energy solutions, well supported by Norwegian legislative requirements for waste management, the country is well on the way to becoming one of the largest growth markets for us" comments Managing Director, John Veje Olesen. In the next few years alone, Norway is scheduled to build between 6 and 8 new CHP plants for waste and biomass combustion to an estimated market value of over DKK 2 billion. With the huge Hamar order and our strengthened position in the Norwegian market, we are well prepared to compete for future Norwegian contracts.
