Increasing the capacity at existing plants

Due to increasing amounts of waste and inadequate capacity, Leirvik's long-established waste-to-energy plant on the Faroe Islands entered into a co-operation with Babcock & Wilcox Vølund to upgrade the ex-isting plant. This co-operation resulted in a capacity increase of more than 50% and the price was also especially attractive since it was only a quarter of the price of a new plant.
