The Bright Green Exhibition
At the weekend of 12-13 December, we took part in the Bright Green Exhibition together with 175 other climate technology companies.
The exhibition was organised in connection with COP15, the UN's Climate Summit in Copenhagen.
HRH Crown Prince Frederik, HRH Crown Princess Victoria and HRH Crown Prince Haakon opened the exhibition and talked about their polar expeditions over the past year to Svalbard and Greenland where they themselves were able to observe the climate changes taking place.
The Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen then gave his opening address and later US Secretary of Commerce, Gary Locke, talked briefly about renewable energy and waste-to-energy options.
On Sunday, Steven Chu, the US Secretary of Energy and Nobel Prize Laureate, gave a presentation on the United States' renewable energy ambitions.
Bright Green was very popular. Particularly on the opening day, visitors flocked to the exhibition.
For the exhibition we built a large and very detailed Lego model of a waste-to-energy plant and a surrounding mini-city complete with district heating system and electricity supply. The Lego model was a big hit among Bright Green visitors and was met with great excitement.
During the exhibition we received a number of visitors - among them were Troels Lund Poulsen, the Danish Minister for the Environment, and Laurie Susan Fulton, the US Ambassador to Denmark.
Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, Owner and Vice Chairman of the Board of the LEGO Group, also dropped by our stand.
Danish Minister for the Environment Troels Lund Poulsen also visited us. He can be seen furthest to the right.
The Lego model was highly praised. It is 2.10 metres long, has taken 200 hours to build and consists of 18,000 Lego bricks.
