Our Quality Management

Babcock & Wilcox Vølund supply products and services intended to satisfy our clients’ needs and/or requirements.

The global competition has led to more precise customer expectations with regard to quality.

In order to be competitive and to maintain the good financial results we are making use of suitable and effective systems.

Such systems must result in a continuous improvement of the quality and in an increased satisfaction at our clients and interested parties (employees, owners, suppliers, society).

Clients’ requirements are often included in the specifications. These specifications, however, do not guarantee a consistent fulfilment of the requirements, if there are lacks in the Quality Management System that supports the product and the service.

To meet such considerations we use a Quality Management System according to the known international ISO 9001:2008 standard. The Quality Management System is certified by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), and the system has been certified since 1994.

In addition, we are certified by TÜV - TRD 201 & AD-2000 Merkblatt HP0 and EN ISO 3834 (EN 729).

This means that we will:

  • be competitive on the global market
  • satisfy the client’s requirements
  • improve systems and processes to obtain continual improvement of the quality.
